Outstanding individuals and organizations from our region will be selected to receive 2017 National Philanthropy Day Awards ® from the Association of Fundraising Professionals Western Pennsylvania Chapter (AFP-WPA) in recognition of their extraordinary efforts on behalf of countless individuals and the community as a whole.

Please plan to join us as we celebrate the region’s individuals, nonprofits, volunteers, businesses, and fundraising professionals whose philanthropic contributions are the foundation of our community.  On November 15, 2017, business executives, philanthropists, professional fundraisers, volunteers and many others will gather to celebrate the National Philanthropy Day® in Pittsburgh.  This event offers community wide visibility and public recognition of individuals, companies, and foundations committed to philanthropy.  Through their passion, dedication, and leadership, these outstanding leaders are improving the quality life in our region, and are making the world a better place for all.

About the Presenter...

Dave Tinker, CFRE FAFP, is Vice President of Advancement at ACHIEVA and an adjunct professor of informatics at Muskingum University’s Master of Information Strategy, Systems and Technology program. An AFP Master Trainer, he received the Outstanding Fund Raising Executive Award from the AFP Western PA chapter in 2013.  In October 2016 he was honored by AFP International as one of six in the inaugural class of Distinguished Fellows of AFP.  Dave has had numerous articles published in professional journals, presented all over North America, and has written curriculum for The Fund Raising School® at the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy at Indiana University.

There is no cost to attend for AFP members and a $10 fee for non-members.
