The Childhood Apraxia of Speech Association of North America (CASANA) is a 501(c)(3) publicly funded charity whose mission is to strengthen the support systems in the lives of children with apraxia so that each child is afforded their best opportunity to develop speech and communication.

We are seeking a qualified candidate to join our growing team in Pittsburgh to further our mission nationwide.

SUMMARY OF THE POSITION

Reporting to the Director of Fundraising, the Data & Research Analyst is responsible for maintaining the integrity, accuracy and security of CASANA’s database. This person will work across the entire organization to track impact of services working towards a fully integrated CRM. In addition, the Data & Research Analyst will have oversight and management of all employee giving campaigns for the organization ensuring maximization of this giving platform. 

Under the direction of the Vice President of Programs, the Data and Research Analyst will support the Speech Tablets for Apraxia Program, Speech Therapy Grant Process and Research Grant Program.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintaining Donor Database serving as liaison to current provider to ensure product is working best to its ability.

  • Managing and overseeing donation entry into current systems
  • Producing and running necessary reports to track fundraising, donor records making recommendations as needed.
  • Producing reports needed by the fundraising and other teams
  • Attending webinar trainings as needed through donor interface system

Integrating Organization-Wide CRM

  • Under the direction of the Director of Fundraising and Executive Director, collaborating with current provider to determine needs organization wide to capture all data to track impact
  • Determining feasibility of CRM outlining costs, impact and schedule for implementation
  • Working with other departments to capture all data in formats needed to track impact
  • Determining and assisting with creation of systems to integrate data into current system

Overseeing and Managing Employee Giving Campaigns under the direction of the Director of Fundraising, working directly with Program Team to identify impact needed for applications and reporting, to include:

  • Annual applications for State and Federal Employee Giving Campaigns
  • United Way Campaigns
  • Various workplace giving campaigns and opportunities

Speech Device, Speech Therapy and Research Grant Programs- Under the direction of the VP of Programs, this position will work to collect applications, disseminate information and provide critical feedback for the following programs:

Managing Speech Tablet Program

  • Responding to parent and SLP inquiries about the program application process
  • Review incoming applications to ensure they are complete and ready for review by VP of Programs/Professional Advisory Council, reaching out to parents when necessary for additional information
  • Providing families with award results and those awarded with contracts and any follow-up documentation
  • Overseeing the collection of signed agreements
  • Working with speech tablet company  to coordinate the shipments
  • Working with Marketing & Communications Director to post necessary applications to websites and coordinates promotion of program throughout the necessary media channels.
  • Collecting and analyzing information and data

Managing Speech Therapy Grant Program

  • Creating an application to be circulated, through a collaborative approach with the VP of Programs
  • Working with Marketing & Communications Director to post necessary applications to websites and coordinating promotion of program throughout the necessary media channels
  • Reviewing incoming applications to ensure they are complete and ready for review by VP of Programs/Professional Advisory Council, reaching out to parents when necessary for additional information.
  • Providing families with award results and those awarded with contracts and any follow-up documentation
  • Collecting and analyzing information and data

Managing Research Grant Program

  • Creating a Research application packet to be circulated to the professional community through a collaborative approach with the VP of Programs
  • Working with Marketing & Communications Director to post necessary applications to websites and coordinating promotion of program throughout the necessary media channels.
  • Reviewing incoming grant applications to ensure all information is complete and ready for review by VP of Programs/Professional Advisory Council.
  • Ensuring reporting requirements are followed, grant awards are distributed, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent and proven data entry skills in a fundraising environment
  • Strong organizational skills, including effective time management and prioritization of competing demands
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Extreme flexibility and ability to multitask.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work effectively with volunteers, staff and external contacts to build and maintain successful relationships
