Coffee Connections--Fundraising in Small Communities
Communities that range in size from small (less than 50,000 people) to very small (less than 2,000 people) diversification and strategy in fundraising efforts are key to sustainability and growth of a nonprofit organization. This Coffee Connection invites those leading the way in their organizations fundraising to gather to share and discuss the merits of different fundraising efforts and methods to diversification and strategy specifically related to small communities.
About the Presenter
Patricia (Patti) Phillips is Director of Development for Catholic Charities West Virginia which serves the entire state of West Virginia with services in both populated and rural communities. In her time with Catholic Charities West Virginia, Patti has developed strategies for non-development staff in the field to better understand their fundraising needs and focus fundraising efforts to maximize revenue and minimize staff time. She is a member of Catholic Charities USA’s Development and Communication’s Steering Committee where she served as Vice Chair and Chair for four years. She has presented at Catholic Charities USA’s annual gathering on Fundraising as a Ministry and One-Person Development Shops, and has moderated a panel discussion on the intersection of Development and Marketing and several best practice discussion forums. She has a BA from Arizona State University and a Certificate in Nonprofit Executive Leadership from the Lilly School of Philanthropy.
There is no cost to attend for AFP members and a $10 fee for non-members.
