Lisa is an educational innovator that brings over 15 years of diverse experience with large corporations, the United States Nuclear Navy and higher-education where she taught for over ten years before joining Holy Family Academy as the Head of School. Lisa focused her Doctorate studies on technology integration with curriculum development. She has multidisciplinary degrees in both STEM and the Humanities with Masters Degrees in both instructional technology and integrated marketing. She is a grant writer. While she has not held the title of a development director, she understands the importance of relationship development and marketing through technology. Among her areas of expertise is the creative use of LinkedIn.
Lisa was awarded Non-Profit CIO of the Year by the Pittsburgh Technology Council in 2013. In 2014, she was an honorable mention for Leader of the Year from Technology & Learning Magazine, Athena Young Professional Award Nominee and an NAIS Teacher of the Future. In 2015, the Huffington Post selected Lisa as the 18th most social K12 technology leader.
Larry has spent over 40 years working in seemingly diverse fields of teaching, athletic coaching, corporate sales, sales training and management; and is currently in nonprofit fundraising as a Tocqueville Officer for United Way of Allegheny County. While maintaining relationships with a portfolio of existing donors, the Tocqueville team of which Larry is a part is charged with discovering and soliciting new major gifts donors.
Having discovered the power of LinkedIn during his personal job search; Larry is active on LinkedIn, and the United Way team is in the process of working to optimize LinkedIn and the power of personal connections to reach its fundraising goals.
Larry is also working with the Emerging Leaders Tocqueville Committee to broaden the footprint of the major donor group by way of LinkedIn. In that capacity, the Tocqueville team is working to both make new connections and to elevate the visibility of the work of United Way in our community.
